Celebrate Birthdays!

What a beautiful morning! It is just a few degrees below zero, but there isn't any wind which makes it bearable. My sister called this morning and asked me to meet her for coffee at the Coffee Shop downtown- perfect! I love starting my weekend over coffee with a good friend. We talked for a couple of hours before we realized the morning had slipped away from us and we needed to get on with our day.

I was excited to retreat to the art room when I got home to design a couple of birthday cards for my family members. We are celebrating all of the January birthdays at my aunts house tonight, I am looking forward to time with my extended family.
Here are a couple of cards that I am gifting.....

This one is for my cousin, I think she is going to be 15 years old- boy time flies!
I used two Papertrey Ink sets for this card, Polka Dot Basics and Make a Wish.

This one is for my aunt. She likes bling, I like simplicity so together, this is
I came up with. I really like the dress form.
This stamp set is from Papertrey Ink, Signature Series: Dress Form.

This card was made from a stamp set called, Masculine Motifs, from Papertrey Ink.
This card is for my uncle. The background paper is by Stampin' Up!

This little monster was so much fun to work with! I put google eyes
on him, he really is quite scary!!!
This card is for my cousin-once-removed, he just turned one.

This card was inspired by Amy Rohl. I just received Dawn McVey's set, Damask Designs,
by Papertrey Ink. I wasn't sure what to do with it, so I turned to Amy's blog.
Amy designed a similar card with the same stamp set
so I thought I would alter her idea a bit...and "wha-la" what a beauty!

I love the butterfly on this card, it is so expressive and full of life.
The background was created with the stamp
set called Polk a Dot Basics, a die called Mat Stack 5
and the Thank you stamp is part of the set called Lilly of the Valley.
All of these products were purchased from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks for stopping by! If I get more stamping time tomorrow, I will post again!

Hugs,
Nicole
